Titan 100
Friday 12 May and Saturday 13 Mai at the Titan Academy Arena in Kalyves.
The Titan 100 Demonstration Tournament is as we know the first Walking Football tournament held in Greece. This is the first part of the Titan 100. Next part will be held in September when visitors from Sleaford Snails comes over from UK.
Our club Titan Kalyves celebrates 100 years this year, and this is Titan WF Tribute to the
club. (Hence the name and logo of this tournament.)
This is a friendly Walking Football tournament where the most important thing is not to win, but to get good exercise, new friends, good experiences, and fun. All of this makes us all winners!
What is Walking Football?
WF is for women/men 40/50 and over. This is a relatively new sport that
is now gaining momentum in all countries around the world. The goal is to keep
people of all ages active in clubs, create a social environment where you can
also exercise and maintain your health. This is something EVERYONE can do. Not just those who have played football their whole lives. Titan WF has many
players who have never been active before. And age is no barrier either. Our
oldest players will soon be 77 years old.
Socialization and good for both physical and
mental are the key signs.
Higligths Rules:
6 vs 6 incl keeper, 40 x 22 m pitch, 5 x 2 m goals. In this tournament we play 2 x 15 min matches.
You are not allowed to run! With or without a ball! At least 1 foot in the ground all the time.
Only soft physical contact. Not allowed to play the ball over 2 m high.
Not allowed to head the ball. In our rules, you must be within the field of
goal to be able to score goals. These rules help to make it so that EVERYONE
can contribute, no matter what level you may have. Inclusion is most important
in WF.

There will be 2 Mix teams (Polis and Titan) (Women/Men) playing 2 matches against each other both days and 3 Men's teams (Polis, Aphrodite, Titan) playing each other both days.

Saturday starts with Titan's youngest team Titan K6 (2017/2018) playing the Minotavros at 1:45p.m., then handing the Arena to the club's oldest players.
